Pantasy Moka Pot 85058 has appeared on Pantasy’s official shop at $45.99, adding another coffee-themed display model to the Retro Collection. The US and Global versions are available to order at the time of writing, while the EU version is currently marked unavailable.
A Colourful Addition to the Retro Collection
The model follows the familiar octagonal shape of a traditional moka pot, but Pantasy has given it a much brighter finish. The red body is covered with colourful Sicilian-style printed patterns, while the black handle, metallic gold knob and silver details help sell the kitchen object look.
It stands 21.6cm high, measures 18.1cm wide and is 9.6cm deep. That makes it a fairly compact display piece, especially beside the taller Pantasy Coffee Grinder 85053. Pantasy’s own range image also places it alongside the Radio 85048, so the intention is clearly to build out a coordinated collection of retro household objects.
It Comes Apart Like the Real Thing
The most interesting feature is the detachable structure. The upper chamber, filter funnel and lower chamber separate into three main sections, while the lid opens and the safety valve is recreated as a small exterior detail. The sections can be taken apart and reassembled in the same order as a real moka pot.
There is also a staged brewing sequence in the official images, using loose round pieces to represent water and coffee. It gives the set a little more play value than a completely static shell, although there is an important limitation.
The Brewing Process Is the Display Feature
The fact that it does not make coffee is hardly the point. What makes the model interesting is how the upper chamber, filter funnel and lower chamber recreate the construction of a real moka pot. The opening lid and simulated safety valve add another layer of detail, so it feels like a considered model rather than a hollow shell built only for its silhouette.
My Take on the Pantasy Moka Pot
I am not usually that keen on object builds unless they tap into some nostalgia or do something genuinely clever. The detachable structure is a nice touch, but this one is not really my cup of tea coffee.
That said, it is certainly colourful. I really like the red, gold, black and patterned colour combinations, and I can easily imagine it becoming a talking point when someone spots it on a shelf.
The main missing detail is the piece count, which Pantasy has not listed. The official page estimates a build time of two to four hours, but it is difficult to judge the value properly without knowing how many pieces are in the box. The EU stock position also needs watching.
