A Stepped Passage Between Two Shops

Highland Pottery occupies the taller building, with a rounded corner tower, dormer windows and tall chimneys. Next door, Bloom Petal has a dark green shopfront and a stepped gable above it. The tan and grey upper walls are broken up by white window frames and dark roofs.

Between them is Maple Close, a staircase leading up from the pavement to a small rear terrace. There is an autumn tree at the top, with leaves scattered across the roof nearby. Down at street level are a red telephone box, a bench, chained bollards and a small flower cart.

The whole scene sits on one 32 x 32-stud base. Lumibricks shows it alongside the Town Life Train Station 15017 and Brick Art Gallery, both of which we have covered on the site.

Inside Highland Pottery and Bloom Petal

The pottery shop is packed with bowls, cups and vases. Decorated plates hang on the walls, with more stock on shelves and a central display table. There are larger sculptures too, including a hooded King Arthur figure and a Moai head.

Upstairs is a pottery workshop with a wheel, kiln, sink and a table for painting the finished pieces. A Pottery Journey sign runs through the stages of making a pot. Tucked under the roof is a cat loft, complete with a little sofa, bowls and a scratching post.

Highland Pottery has a shop at street level, a workshop above and a small cat loft under the roof.

Bloom Petal has shelves of plants and flowers around a counter with a till, scissors and wrapping materials. The smaller upper room is a floral studio, with a worktable and supplies for making arrangements. Pots and flowers also spill out onto the pavement beside the entrance.

Opening Walls and a Hidden Battery Box

The pottery building separates into upper sections, and hinged rear walls open the shop and workshop. The florist has an opening ground-floor wall and a removable panel behind its upstairs studio. A separate rear panel gives access to the pottery building’s cat loft.

The battery box is tucked beneath the staircase and pulls out from the back. That keeps it out of the street scene, although you will need access behind the model to change the batteries.

15 Lights Across the Shops and Stairway

White lamps sit over the Highland Pottery sign, with yellow lights over Bloom Petal. The pottery shop and telephone box have warm white lighting, while the florist has a pink glow inside. A wall lamp lights the steps along Maple Close.

The upper windows are lit too, including those in the rounded tower and the small room above the florist. USB power is an option for a permanent display; the included battery box takes three AAA batteries, which are not supplied.

Printed Pottery and Four Locals

The 41 printed parts include patterned plates, floral designs on the vases, shop signs, the hanging clock and the Maple Close street sign. There are smaller touches such as a newspaper, flower price labels and the pottery-making guide.

The four figures are pottery shop owner Elspeth Potter, apprentice Callum Fraser, florist Signora Carmela and newspaper editor Edward McLeod. Callum wears a tartan kilt and green cap, while Edward carries an umbrella.

One Random Flower Included

Lumibricks says every Edinburgh Corner set includes one randomly selected brick-built flower: a rose, sunflower, tulip or violet. These are larger, separate display flowers. You receive one design, not the full four-flower arrangement shown in the promotional photos, and the vase is not included.
