Pantasy Boombox 85074 Is Now Available

Pantasy Boombox 85074 is now listed at $80.99, with 998 pieces, an opening cassette deck, tuning control and a 30.2cm-wide retro design.

Pantasy Boombox 85074 is now listed on Pantasy’s official shop for $80.99. The 998-piece model recreates a large silver cassette stereo, complete with twin speakers, a radio scale, an opening cassette deck and several controls that can actually be used.

Pantasy Boombox 85074 Recreates a Classic Cassette Stereo

The shape is immediately recognisable. Two large circular speakers dominate the front, with smaller tweeters and a printed radio scale above them. The central cassette deck uses a transparent red window, while the top includes a row of switches, rotary controls and an angled aerial.

The completed model measures 30.2cm wide, 29cm high and 8.2cm deep. That gives it the proportions of a portable stereo without requiring the shelf depth of a full-size original. The folding black handle also reinforces the look, although this is still a display model rather than something designed to play music.

Moving Controls and an Opening Cassette Deck

Pantasy has included several interactive details. The cassette door opens so the supplied brick-built tape can be inserted and removed, the top tuning control can be turned against the station scale, and the carrying handle folds down behind the controls.

There is also an opening battery compartment containing two removable brick-built batteries. These features give the model more to explore than a fixed exterior shell, but the listing includes an important disclaimer: the Boombox has no actual audio playback function. There is no Bluetooth speaker, sound module or working radio hidden inside.

Another Piece of Pantasy’s Retro Music Collection

Pantasy’s own range image places the Boombox beside the Jukebox 85020, Retro Gramophone 85009 and Cassette Player 85039. Along with the Radio 85048 and DJ Player 85037, it makes the direction of the Retro Collection fairly clear: Pantasy is building a full shelf of music-related objects from different eras.

The Boombox sits between the smaller Cassette Player and the taller Jukebox. Its appeal comes from the familiar 1980s stereo shape and the mechanical controls rather than lighting or electronics, so buyers should set their expectations accordingly.
