Lumibricks Underground Dance Battle

More Sets Join the Lumibricks Retiring Soon List

It is that time of year again when we have to say goodbye to some brilliant builds to make room for the new waves. I have just spotted four new additions to the “Retiring Soon” section on the official Lumibricks website. If any of these have been on your wishlist, now is the time to pull the trigger before they are gone for good.

Here is a quick look at the four sets that are about to leave the shelves.

Medieval Water Mill

This is one of the most charming sets in the Medieval range. At 1,278 pieces, it is a substantial build that features a mechanically linked waterwheel. As you turn the wheel outside, the grinding gears inside actually move. It includes seven LED light points, including some clever ice-blue lights that illuminate the stream to give it a moonlit glow.

At the moment, stock is still available on the official site in most regions.

Steampunk Motorcycle Pursuit

If you are a fan of the Steampunk theme, this is a good “entry-level” set that packs a lot of detail into its 424 pieces. It tells the story of a high-speed chase through the brass-coloured streets of a Victorian-era city. The integrated lighting for the motorcycle headlight is surprisingly bright and it is one of the few sets that uses a very narrow battery pack hidden inside the bike’s frame.

Stock is currently limited to Canada and the UK.

Underground Dance Battle

Part of the Street Fusion series, this 429-piece set is all about urban energy. It features a great factory-style dance floor with plenty of UV-printed graffiti and wall art. What I love about this one is the modular design; the ground section can be detached to fit into a larger city sandbox layout. It comes with five street-style figures and four light points to bring that underground club vibe to life.

I actually combined mine with the Graffiti Bus Stop set and the results were brilliant. Check it out here.

At the moment, stock is still available on the official site in most regions.

Horse Stable

The Horse Stable is a beautiful piece of “American idyllic” architecture. With 973 pieces, it is a very detailed build that includes something quite unique for Lumibricks: a touch-sensitive brightness adjustment for the horse-wash lamp. You can actually dim the red “infrared” light to simulate different moods for the horses. The entire interior can be pulled out for easy access, making it great for both display and play.

At the moment, stock is still available on the official site in most regions.

The retirement page has the full list of everything currently on the way out. As always, remember to check Amazon for these sets as well to see if there are any final deals to be had.

If a set has been sitting on your “maybe” list for too long, this is usually the point where hesitation starts costing money!
