After building the Record Store, I noticed there was a Skate Shop that fits perfectly alongside it. More graffiti, more street culture, more personality. I had to get it.
This set is a little smaller, measuring 26 studs wide and 32 studs deep, and it stands a bit shorter too. It is also more affordable, so I was interested to see whether Lumibricks managed to keep the same charm and build quality at a lower price point.
Once I finished building it, I was genuinely impressed. It had a similar overall feel to the Record Store, but with a personality all of its own.

First Impressions
Right from the start, I knew this was going to complement the Record Store beautifully. The overall aesthetic matches perfectly. The graffiti, the signage, the colours, the general vibe. Everything ties together in a way that makes it feel like part of the same neighbourhood.
Even though it is smaller, the Skate Shop packs in plenty of detail. There is an outdoor skating area at the side, complete with scuff marks on the pavement, a vending machine, and a broken window repaired with wooden boards. The lighting above the vending machine gives off a great blue glow that really sets the scene.

The Build and Experience
The build experience reminded me a lot of the Record Store. Smooth, enjoyable, and satisfying. The design feels smartly thought out, and while it is a little simpler, it never feels empty.
As usual, the brick quality was excellent. Perfect clutch, consistent colour, and no missing or warped pieces.
The graffiti is the star of this set. It is bold and playful, and the way it is integrated into the structure feels natural. My favourite section is the doorway covered in graffiti art, which instantly adds life and character to the building.
Inside, the Skate Shop itself is full of small touches. There are skateboards on display in the window, helmets, and accessories that instantly took me back to the skate shops I used to visit years ago. It is nostalgic and captures the feel of those places really well.
A dog and a cat are also included, which adds even more personality to the whole streetscape.
Accessibility
The accessibility features are well thought out, following the same approach seen in other Lumibricks sets. The floors lift off cleanly, and the connections between them are wireless, so there are no cables you need to unplug.
At the back, there are two wall sections that open like small doors, which let you peek into the interior without removing the whole model. It is a simple but very effective way to enjoy the details.
The battery box is cleverly hidden in a little sewer-like area at the side and back of the build. It stays completely out of sight but is still easy to access. It is a smart bit of design that keeps everything looking tidy.
Printed Parts
All parts are printed, and once again, Lumibricks delivered great quality. Everything is sharp and perfectly aligned.
For larger signs that span multiple tiles, Lumibricks printed them on mounted plates, which keeps the artwork lined up properly across each section. It gives the signs a seamless and clean look.
The street art and signage bring the whole scene to life. The directional signposts are a fun touch too. One of them points to a “Boxing Club,” which hints at another set that, from what I have heard, will be released soon.

Minifigures
This set includes 3 minifigures that fit the street theme nicely. The prints are good, bright, and full of character. They match the vibe of the Skate Shop really well, especially with the mix of hairstyles, outfits, and accessories.
The only downside is the same issue I have had with other Lumibricks figures. The arms and hands can be fiddly to attach, and you need to take a bit of care. I even snapped an arm on one of the Record Store figures, so I was extra cautious this time. Fortunately, everything went together fine on this set.
The included dog and cat are a great addition. They instantly make the street scene feel more alive, and they help give the area a lived-in, neighbourhood look.
Overall, the minifigs have their quirks but they do their job well and add a lot of charm to the build.
Lighting System
The lighting system works very much like the other Lumibricks sets. The eight lights are spread nicely across the build, with a striking blue effect above the vending machine that lights up the pavement. It gives the whole area a lively, urban glow that looks fantastic when the room lights are low.
The cables are slightly longer in this set and link multiple LEDs together. It takes a bit more care to route them neatly compared to the lighting in the Cyberpunk Apartment, but it is still easy enough to handle. It was a very similar experience to the Record Store.
Everything connects to a small AAA battery box that is hidden inside the build. As always, tweezers and a small screwdriver are included to help with the setup.

Note: I mounted my Skate Shop onto a MILS plate. The set itself normally sits one plate and one tile high, but raising it to full MILS height makes it fit better into a modular-style city layout.
Instructions
The instructions follow the same approach as the other Lumibricks sets. Clear steps, small part counts per page, and helpful diagrams. It keeps the process simple and avoids mistakes.
The lighting instructions are shown in good detail. The routing steps are very clear, and the overall build never feels confusing or overwhelming.

Pricing and Value
At £95.00 GBP (around $99.99 USD / €110 EUR), this set offers very strong value. It is smaller than the other Street Fusion builds, but the personality, printing, and lighting easily justify the price.
You still get all the features you expect from a premium set. Full printing, a complete lighting system, solid building techniques, and high-quality components. The lower cost makes it a great entry point into the Lumibricks world.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed this build. It may be smaller, but it is full of charm and captures the energy of a real street corner. It pairs beautifully with the Record Store. Together they feel like part of the same block, full of life and story potential.
The graffiti, the street art, and the lighting work perfectly together and give the set a sense of movement and life.
I mounted mine on a MILS plate to fit into my city layout. Since the building is 26 by 32 studs, I added an extra eight studs of space at the side. I plan to fill that with a small LEGO Stuntz set, as long as it does not burst into flames!
If you love colourful, urban builds with loads of character, this one is an easy recommendation.
Verdict
The Lumibricks Skate Shop turned out to be a brilliant little build. It is smaller than the Record Store, but it brings just as much personality. The graffiti, street details, lighting, and overall atmosphere make it feel like a real slice of urban life.
It works beautifully as a stand-alone display, but when you place it next to the Record Store, the whole scene really comes alive. For the price, the value is excellent.
You get full printing, high-quality bricks, clever accessibility, strong lighting, and a great theme. It is a fun, characterful build that fits perfectly into any city layout.
Smooth, simple, fun.
Full of urban personality.
Striking neon blue glow.
Fantastic entry price.
Where to buy
You can buy Lumibricks directly from their official website or through their Amazon store.
The Official Site: It is worth knowing that they run a rewards program (similar to LEGO Insiders). You earn points on every purchase which can be swapped for money-off vouchers later—so if you plan to buy multiple sets, buying direct often pays off.
Amazon: Generally offers faster delivery and stock is more consistent. They also tend to have random discounts that the official site doesn’t match.
My Recommendation: I always check both links below. If Amazon has a lower price, I grab it there for the savings and speed. If the prices are roughly the same, I buy from the official site to bank the loyalty points.
