Pantasy have now released their newest modular, Architecture Firm 85041, designed by Ohsojang. This is one many people have been waiting to see properly.
The MSRP has been set at $199 USD, which is quite a jump compared to their usual modular pricing around the $150 mark. I imagine this will drop during sales though, so there will definitely be chances to pick it up cheaper.
As mentioned in my previous post, this is the first Pantasy modular to include lighting as part of the set rather than as a separate kit. They’ve apparently created their own wire-management system to make routing cables easier, which is something I really like the sound of. Lighting can look incredible, but it can also be a headache to install neatly, so anything that improves that experience is a win.
This is interesting because Lumibricks (Funwhole) is famous for their integrated lighting. It will be very interesting to see if Pantasy’s new ‘wire-management’ system is as good as the wireless connectors used in the recent Lumibricks sets.
The set comes with five figures, which surprised me a bit. I expected this one to be all about the architecture, so it’s nice to see a good handful of figures in the box.

My thoughts on the build
The building itself looks great. I love modern architecture and this captures that clean, sharp style really well. Ohsojang’s design work has always stood out and this one feels like something he would naturally create.
That said, it doesn’t slot easily into a typical LEGO city. Because it’s such a modern, isolated style, it would be tricky to place without it looking out of place next to more traditional modulars. If Pantasy decided to build out a whole modern district with more buildings in this style, I’d be a lot more tempted because then it has a place to live.
So for me, it’s not an instant buy right now, but it’s definitely on my radar. If Pantasy commit to expanding this modern architecture range, that could change quickly.
There’s also a short video showing the set in action with animated minifigs. Pantasy do these videos a lot and I’m a big fan of them.
I have just started building the Pantasy Brewery to test the brick quality of this brand. Once I finish that review, I will know for sure if this Architecture Firm is worth the $199 price tag. Check back soon for my full Pantasy vs. Lumibricks comparison.
