First Look: Pantasy Sewing Machine & Twin Lens Reflex Camera

After covering the larger architecture releases, it’s time to circle back and take a closer look at some of the other Pantasy sets that quietly appeared on ShopForGeek.

These builds sit squarely in what many fans call Pantasy’s retro collection or object category – display pieces that focus on detailed hardware, nostalgia, and creative design rather than large modular buildings.

These two sets join the recently revealed Stained Glass Table Lamp, further expanding Pantasy’s 2026 Retro Collection.

Pantasy Hand Crank Sewing Machine (1152 Pieces)

The first of the new listings is the Hand Crank Sewing Machine, coming in at 1,152 pieces.

First off, the machine itself looks fantastic. The black and gold detailing is very classy. The ornate gold prints really elevate it. It looks like Pantasy have gone big on decorative printed elements again.

The side profile especially looks great. The wheel, the hand crank, the needle assembly. It really captures that old mechanical sewing machine look.

The metallic parts around the needle area look nicely layered too. Not just a flat front panel.

There’s More Underneath

What I like here is that they haven’t just built the machine and left it at that.

Under the table there’s a little workshop scene. Shelving with fabric rolls. A small sewing station. Tools. A tiny ironing board. Even a mini figure included.

That makes it feel less like “a model of a thing” and more like a scene built around the object.

You can also see internal structure and mechanism underneath. It’s not just a hollow box. There’s actual mechanical detailing inside.

Functional?

From the images, it looks like the hand crank connects to the needle mechanism. So I’d expect some kind of movement feature here. If the needle actually moves when you turn the wheel, that’s a big plus.

That immediately separates it from just being a static decorative build.

Key known points:

  • Set name: Hand Crank Sewing Machine
  • Set number: 85028
  • Pieces: 1152
  • Style: Retro object / Display build

Overall Thoughts

This is part of the Retro Collection, and I think this one works better than most object builds because it has depth. It’s not just “a sewing machine.” It’s the machine, the workspace, the personality, and the decorative styling all in one.

Even if you’re not into sewing, you can appreciate the craftsmanship of the design.

Pantasy Twin Lens Reflex Camera (757 Pieces)

The second new listing is the Twin Lens Reflex Camera, listed at 757 pieces.

This one really fits into the niche that Pantasy have been carving out with their smaller hardware builds. Classic twin-lens cameras have a strong aesthetic, and the listing image shows a build that captures that look with a combination of retro styling and textured brickwork.

Given the piece count, this set isn’t tiny, but it isn’t large either. It looks like something that could be built in an afternoon and then proudly displayed with other Pantasy objects or even with larger modular scenes as a vignette.

It Actually Opens

This is where it gets interesting.

The top flips open, revealing an internal viewing chamber. From the rear images, it looks like the back panel opens too, showing internal gearing and a film compartment style build. Again, not just a hollow shell.

The Mini Scene

Like the sewing machine, they haven’t just given you the object. There’s a small film display stand and a photographer minifigure included.

That small base scene helps it feel more like a collector’s piece rather than just a large brick object.

Overall Thoughts

This feels more refined than some object builds I’ve seen.

The colour combination of black, brown and silver works really well. It has that mid-century photography aesthetic. The shaping is smooth. The top curves are done nicely. The dials have depth.

Key known points:

  • Set name: Twin Lens Reflex Camera
  • Set number: 85050
  • Piece count: 757
  • Style: Retro object / Display build

Neither of these has been officially announced on Pantasy’s own site at the time of writing, but given they’ve appeared on ShopForGeek, it’s reasonable to expect more official details soon.
