It looks like we’re heading to the beach for the New Year.

While there has been no official announcement from Lumibricks directly, a brand new set- Lumibricks Surf Shop (20004) has just popped up for pre-order on Amazon UK, and it looks great.

Lumibricks Surf Shop (20004)

I’ve been waiting for a proper, detailed beachfront build to flesh out my city’s coastline, and at first glance, this seems to be exactly that. But there is one detail in the listing that genuinely surprised me.

The “20xxx” Surprise

When I first heard whispers of a Surf Shop, I naturally assumed it would fit into the recent Road Trip / Saltwind Coast sub-theme (like the Lighthouse or the Moon Bar). Those sets typically use the 18xxx set numbers and are designed as mid-sized, scenic stops.

However, this Surf Shop is listed as Set 20004.

For those following the numbers, the 20xxx range is what Lumibricks refers to as their ‘X-Series’. These are typically sets that stand completely on their own. By placing the Surf Shop here, Lumibricks is signalling that this is a distinct, standalone creation with its own identity, rather than just another stop on the Saltwind Coast road trip.

The amount of detail on display here is impressive. Printed signage is everywhere, which is always good to see from Lumibricks, and the whole scene feels busy in the right way. The beachfront area looks great, with a nicely shaped shoreline and a palm tree built using those excellent cone elements.

Down on the ground floor, the “Tide & Tiki” branding is colourful and sharp. The real standout for me, though, is the rooftop bar and music area. It’s packed with character. The stage lighting is bold and theatrical, and the backdrop featuring those pelican prints is genuinely eye-catching.

When Can You Get It?

The listing is live on Amazon UK right now for £110.63 with a release date of January 31st. There is no mention of the piece count.

I’ll be pre-ordering this one, and I plan to get a full review up as soon as I’ve built it. If this is on your radar as well, keep an eye out for the upcoming review.
