Lumibricks may be looking at a new direction for its modular-style lineup, and this time the focus is on something much smaller.
In a post shared in the private Lumibricks Delight World Facebook group, Lumibricks asked members for feedback on the idea of launching a new series of mini street shops. These would apparently follow the same compact format as the Town Life News Stand, coming in at 16×24 studs.
That smaller size alone makes this a very interesting idea.
Transparency Note: While this discussion originated in the private Lumibricks Delight World group, Lumibricks have kindly given The Right Brick permission to share these details with the wider community to gather further feedback.

A Smaller Format Could Fill a Real Gap
Most Lumibricks sets so far have leaned towards larger, more detailed display builds, especially in themes like Street Fusion and Town Life. That is part of their appeal, but it also means they can take up a lot of space and cost more to collect.
A smaller 16×24 format could solve both of those issues.
For collectors with limited shelf space, mini street shops could be a much easier way to expand a city layout without committing to another full-sized modular. They could also work well as filler buildings between larger sets, which is something a lot of LEGO and alt-brick city builders are always looking for.
What Lumibricks Asked the Community
In the group post, Lumibricks asked three main questions:
- How much would fans want to pay for one?
- What mini shop themes would people like to see in Town Life and Street Fusion?
- Should each set support seamless connection?
That third question is probably the most important. If these mini shops are designed to connect neatly with one another, they could become a very flexible sub-theme and a good way to build out a street scene without needing a full block of large buildings.
My Take
I think this is a genuinely promising idea.
One of the strengths of Lumibricks is that their sets tend to have a lot of atmosphere and personality, but not everyone wants every new release to be a large centrepiece build. A smaller series of connected mini shops could make the range feel more accessible while still keeping the same style.
It would also make sense for both of the themes they mentioned.
Town Life could use smaller everyday buildings that add realism and variety to a layout.
Street Fusion could be especially fun at this size too, with smaller urban storefronts, food spots, music shops, repair kiosks, or graffiti-heavy corner units.
If Lumibricks gets the pricing right and makes them properly connectable, I can see these doing very well.
Nothing Confirmed Yet
It is worth stressing that this is not an official set reveal at this stage. Lumibricks appears to be testing the idea and gathering feedback rather than announcing a confirmed product line.
Still, it is exactly the kind of early signal that is interesting if you follow the brand closely.
And honestly, I would be very surprised if something does not come from this.
What Mini Shops Would You Want to See?
If Lumibricks does go ahead with this idea, there are loads of possible directions they could take.
A few obvious ones would be:
- fountains
- park
- coffee stand
- record kiosk
- street food stall
- florist
- tattoo shop
- repair store
- corner convenience shop
For now, though, this is one to watch.
