LEGO Star Trek Is Finally Here – Make it so!

I’m a Trekkie through and through. Always have been. Always will be. Sure, I like Star Wars. But Star Trek? That’s where it’s at.

So, when I heard rumours that LEGO had finally locked in the license for Star Trek, I was beyond excited. And now? It’s official. The set has been announced in full and is live on LEGO’s site.

My First Impressions

The model looks very nice. The piece count-3,600. Price-$399.99 USD (£349.99 GBP / €379.99). Launch date: 28 November 2025.

It’s not in minifigure scale, which I’m fine with. It has presence, and from the photos it looks well proportioned.

From what I can tell, the plaque appears to be printed, and the small windows around the saucer and warp nacelles might be as well. But I can also see a fair few stickers elsewhere – and honestly, that’s disappointing. For this price, I’d expect everything to be printed.

Alternative brands deliver impressive prints, innovative builds, and at a lower price point. If a brand like Lumibricks can offer full print elements, good clutch power, and premium feel at a lower cost, then LEGO should be doing at least as much, especially with a license this big.

I’ll be honest – I’ll be completely blinded by fandom with this one. I’ve been a Star Trek fan my whole life, so there’s no way I can look at this set without some bias creeping in. That said, I’ll do my absolute best to stay impartial when it comes to the build quality, design choices, and value for money – even if it hurts my Trekkie heart a little.
