Lumibricks Train Station 15017 Brings Town Life a Proper Transport Hub

Lumibricks Train Station 15017 brings Victorian architecture, 4,355 pieces, 20 lights and a much-needed transport hub to the Town Life theme.

Lumibricks Train Station 15017 now has a full official listing, with a launch scheduled for Monday 24 August and an official price of $199.99.

Lumibricks first teased this as Central Station back in June. The finished name is simply Train Station, but the model itself is anything but simple: 4,355 pieces, 20 integrated light points, eight figures and the largest standalone building in the Town Life range so far.

Now that the full model is visible, it looks even better than I expected. I love the architecture, and this fills a genuine gap in Town Life. Lumibricks has given the theme plenty of shops, homes and smaller street scenes, but it needed a proper transport landmark to make the town feel connected.

There is one immediate reality check. This is a large 32 x 48 build measuring 38.5 x 25.6 x 47 cm, so it will need more room than the usual 32 x 32 Town Life modular. The price also puts it firmly in centrepiece territory.

Lumibricks Train Station 15017 Architecture

The station combines a warm red-and-cream clock tower with a large grey train hall and ornate roof details.

The Victorian British influence is clear without the building feeling like a generic period facade. A tall red-and-cream clock tower anchors one side, while the darker train hall uses a huge arched entrance, a glazed upper section and a steep slate-coloured roof. Gold finials across the roofline give the whole thing a more formal civic presence.

The signage names it Lumiere Station, and the building mixes its railway role with a waiting hall, travel agency, station shop, clock tower museum and semi-open platform. That variety is important. It makes this feel like a working town building rather than a decorative shell with a track beside it.

A Proper Hub for Town Life

This is where the release makes the most sense to me. Town Life already has some lovely individual buildings, but a railway station gives them a reason to exist as part of the same place. It creates an arrival point, a transport link and a large public building all at once.

Lumibricks Train Station 15017 connected to Town Life and Heritage Tram displays
The 32 x 48 station is designed to connect with Town Life modules and the Heritage Tram and Station.

The 32 x 48 base uses the same connection system as the range’s 32 x 32 modules. Lumibricks also says the platform connects with the Heritage Tram and Station, which is exactly the sort of compatibility this set needs. The earlier tram stop can now feed into a much larger destination rather than sitting as a separate transport display.

For anyone building a full Town Life street, the wider footprint should help vary the layout too. Not every building should occupy the same square base and rise to the same height. This station breaks up that rhythm while still belonging beside the rest of the theme.

Accessible Interior and Eight Figures

The detachable rear section and pull-out modules open the station for interior access.

Lumibricks has not left the interior trapped behind that architecture. The rear section detaches, while the first-floor ticketing passage and second-floor shop use pull-out structures. That should make the rooms easier to see once the station is built, particularly when the lighting is switched on.

The eight-figure line-up includes railway staff, passengers, a street musician, a crepe vendor and maintenance worker Hans. Lumibricks has also connected the station story to the Book Cafe, with its publisher couple and their daughter appearing as travellers. It is a small bit of continuity, but it helps Town Life feel like one neighbourhood rather than a shelf of unrelated models.

Twenty Lights and 75 Printed Bricks

Lumibricks Train Station 15017 integrated lighting details
Twenty light points illuminate the waiting hall, shops, platform and railway signals.

The lighting is spread across the building rather than concentrated in one room. The waiting hall gets a warm chandelier, the travel agency and passenger areas use warm-white light, and the platform has a dimmer amber glow. The trackside signals can show a flashing red light or steady green light.

The package also includes 75 printed bricks. That should do a lot of the visual work around the station signs, clocks and smaller period details, although the listing does not explicitly say whether every decorated element is printed.

Batteries are not included, and the specification panel lists USB power as an optional alternative. I would want to check the final cable route and control access before judging the lighting setup properly, but the night-time images suggest the 20 light points have been used with some restraint.

My Early Take

Based on the official photos, this could be one of the strongest architectural designs in Town Life. The clock tower gives it height, the train hall gives it width, and the mix of warm brickwork with grey roofing stops such a large model from becoming visually flat.

More importantly, it fills the right gap. Another shop would have been pleasant, but a station changes what the entire town can do. It gives the Heritage Tram somewhere meaningful to arrive and makes the wider theme feel more complete.

The size and $199.99 price mean this will not be an easy addition for every layout. Still, if the finished build lives up to the architecture shown here, it has the potential to become the centrepiece Town Life has been missing.
