IAMBRICK has added a new Doomsday Gas Station set to its range, and this is the kind of release that instantly stands out. The Iambrick Doomsday Gas Station is listed at 2043 pieces, measures 25.5 × 25.5 × 41 cm (so a standard 32 x 32 baseplate footprint), and includes a full lighting system, which was a really nice surprise for me because I do not normally associate IAMBRICK with lit builds.
What I like straight away is that this does not just look like a ruined gas station. It looks more like a full post-apocalyptic outpost built around one, with a tall metallic tower, satellite dishes, rooftop solar panels, a scrapyard-style repair arm, and loads of little bits of survival-detail packed in. IAMBRICK describes it as a three-storey set, with an abandoned gas station store on the ground floor, a repair workshop above it, and a watch post on top.

Why It Caught My Eye
The more I looked at the product images, the more there was to like. The silver tower looks great and seems to use the nice metallic silver. The gas station sign has loads of character as well. It gives the whole set a proper scavenged wasteland look rather than just “here is a broken building with some rust colours on it.”
The off-road vehicle helps a lot too. I do like it when a small vehicle is included in a set. I also noted a mechanical arm (movable) and the stacked-up industrial clutter around the middle and lower levels.

Lighting Is a Very Nice Surprise
One of the biggest surprises is the lighting. IAMBRICK says this set includes a full lighting system designed to create a dim, warm, lived-in atmosphere, and that sounds exactly right for something this scrappy and apocalyptic.
That jumped out at me because, while I have reviewed IAMBRICK sets before, lighting is not the thing I immediately associate with the brand in the way I would with Lumibricks. So seeing it included here definitely makes the set more interesting.
From the images, it looks like the lighting is doing a lot for the lower level especially, giving it that proper bunker/workshop feel.

My Take So Far
This is one of the most interesting IAMBRICK releases I have seen in a while.
It has the same kind of end-of-the-world energy that would fit nicely alongside a LEGO Apocalypseburg-style display, but it also looks strong enough to stand on its own. The silver tower, the battered signage, the vehicle, and the lighting all help give it a lot more personality than a standard gas station set.
With 60 printed elements and 3 UV transfer stickers, there is clearly plenty of detail packed in here. Even just going by the images, this looks like a strong original design with a lot of presence. IAMBRICK also lists a fully movable repair arm, an off-road vehicle, and two wasteland-style minifigures, which all fit the theme nicely.
If you like post-apocalyptic builds, scrapyard detail, and sets that feel more like a little world than a tidy standalone building, this looks very promising.
